Soccer Shots Birthday Parties

We had the pleasure of hosting another Soccer Shots birthday party this month for one of our most dedicated Montclair soccer players. Coach Manuel from Montclair and Coach Melissa from Cedar Rose and King Middle School had a great time leading a fun-filled, action-packed session tailored to the child’s theme and favorite things about playing soccer (like scoring a bunch of goals and showing off cool tricks).

Soccer Shots hosts birthday parties first and foremost because we believe that exercise should be fun! Creating a positive relationship with sports for your child often means helping them engage with it on their own terms in a stress-free environment. We strive for our weekly sessions to be that safe space for them. Building upon that by including soccer in moments of celebration and joy like their birthday is a great way to grow love for the sport even outside of weekly sessions so that they want to play, move, and practice with the soccer ball on their own accord and not only when their coach and parents are around. The game of soccer can be as serious or as carefree as they want it to be as long as they love it!

Whether your child just started with Soccer Shots or has been with us for years, introducing soccer in a setting like their birthday is always a new and exciting experience for us and them. Because they get to collaborate with their parents and the coaches on the theme and activities, we get to see which parts of the Soccer Shots program are most resonating with them and how they bring their own interests to life through soccer. We haven’t had a “Bluey” themed party yet, but it feels like it’s only a matter of time!

First and foremost, we want the kids who enter our program to leave with a positive impression of soccer and the motivation to keep playing sports. If soccer is a highlight each week for your child, consider gifting them their very own Soccer Shots party and continue fostering their love and excitement for the sport.
